Lawn mowers, weed eaters, and leaf blowers, Oh My!

Has anyone tried to mow and weed eat an entire yard while keeping 2 very young children occupied? (Without tying them up of course, the neighbors don’t seem to care for that.)

Although, I enjoy mowing and doing yard work, recently I’ve learned how to do it without a second adult in the house to watch the 2 younger children, specifically a four year old and one year old.

Since my front yard is split in half by the driveway. I setup the playpen in a shady spot on one side of the yard. A couple toys, juice, and snacks and I can mow for a long time, before they get bored of watching me and the world around them. When I’m done, we swap and they hang out on the other side of the yard. Typically this gets me through the large front yard without many whines and fussing. The back yard I save for the next day or weekend. The kids get some fresh air, they stay within my sight, and the grass gets a haircut.
