If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Here’s an example of the ads I was talking about in Where Have All The CPM’s Gone? post earlier today. Although I can’t decide whether to laugh at this ad, or kill it with fire.
Why? First, Sign Ur Death Certificate. On the side? Subscription Required.
Now, from one angle, this is a clever advertisement, because it has the potential to highly engage the user. It caught my attention, after all, it’s in this post!
However, talk about a classic consumer catch advertisement. It makes me wonder the point of this actual advertisement. Fortunately, I didn’t click the ad for fear of spyware or anything else that could randomly appear.
Another thing to point out was after I saw this ad, I completely ignored the ad sections of MySpace after seeing this for the rest of my session. Absolutely, if this wasn’t making someone money, these ad’s wouldn’t keep running, but at what expense will they stop? The Publishers, or the Advertiser?
