Adobe never ceases to amaze me. Check out on one of their hot new products: Adobe Air
![]()
“Adobe AIR offers an exciting new way to engage customers with innovative
, branded desktop applications, without requiring changes to existing technology, people, or processes.” Imagine being able to have your service served-up on your customer’s platter, deployment of rich Internet applications right onto their desktop. I’m not much of a programmer, but the logic is genius. And to top it off (for design enthusiasts) you are given so much control into the designing of the interface of these smart, consumer-driven widgets.
Check out some of the featured applications using Adobe Air, AOL’s application for example.
“The AOL Top 100 Videos widget features an expanded video offering, contextual content, and integrated advertising. Expanded video content includes related artist videos and special features.” (You can read more at the Adobe Showcase.)
How kewl is that!
Whether you look into this product from the standpoint of a consumer or from the other side of the counter, a service provider, you can’t have better placement than at the very desktop of any platform computer.
